Flying helicopters either real or radio controlled is somewhat more challenging the planes. While the same principals of lift apply, you need to control different aspects of the craft to keep it aloft. The most challenging is doing a near still hover. It can take quite a while to master that skill. Once you do, flying choppers provides a who new level to the fun factor.
As with the planes, there are many different manufactures and comes down to what your preference is. Lately, the mini chopper has been all the craze as these birds use batteries and can be flown indoors. There is even a new hover device on the market that uses flapping wings to stay aloft. This is a first and really a radical step forward in helicopter design.
